TWA 757 (w/AA Transition Paint)

Thu Oct 25, 2001 5:59 am

Does anybody know the Registration numbers of that 757? I saw the pic on justplanes.com Oct1st pictures page:
http://www.justplanes.net/pics011001.html

Also, is there a published schedule of aircraft repaints available?

There's more than one 757 in the transition livery now, and there are several 80's. I've seen then in the past couple weeks at STL and MCI.
An unexamined life isn't worth living.

This whole transferring schemes looks bad. It looks like it has a blueish tint.

It doesn't have a blueish tint, that comes from the sunlight and the photo. Its a silver as any of the other.

sure wish AA had used the buyout to introduce a new livery...living near STL I'm starting to get used to 'em.

PS: sorry for going off the topic folks...but this livery really makes me go mad...more like a half painted a/c.

I saw the TWA 757 in the transitional livery and in my opinion it looked nice. The f/a's working that flight were taking pictures and they were excited.

The "real" TWA livery is one of the best in the industry. It is so sad that it will be gone soon. And to see aircraft in this transition livery reminds me even more about the good thing lost.

another uglyass paint scheme by the major airlines. all the good schemes are fading away proudwings from Canadian and now TWA. I really hate AA. Couldn't they atleast have kept the golden globe?

I agree with you all that the new transition livery is ugly, and that the old TW paint is very 'Professional'. But back to the original question:

Is there a published schedule of aircraft repaints available? Or planes that have already been painted.

I believe they are being done in Kansas City (MCI), right?

The light is too bright, so that sort of affected the quality a little bit (no offence to the photographer). Once I see a picture in darker light, I will make my opinion.
