This is just a teaching tool for VFR pilots flying into or out of the IAD class B airspace. It gives examples of generic communications procedures with specific freqs.

This is not a written test for ATC. I'm sure some ATC folks on here could tell you how much harder the real test is (you have to have good visualization skills, and spatial awareness, etc.)

I'm almost offended!

To get into the norwegian ATC training program you have to complete 2 days of testing including PC-based stress/visualization skills/etc, interview with a controller and a airforce psykologist, english test (not hard  Big grin ) and a practical "tower test"!

When that is done, you have to complete the medicals!

Now you are ready to start the training, which takes anything from 18 to 24 moths, then MAYBYE you get your licence!

If you are fluent in norwegian or swedish, I will be happy to send you a copy of a typical exam at an ATC academy! Big grin

Anyway, it's not the written test that is most important:

It's how you perform in the SIM and on the OJT that really counts.......

Regards, Anders (2 weeks short of completing my education at the Swedish ATS Academy)

It is not even a test, the blanks are your callsign and squawk code.

Contact_Tower, I have taken ATC courses many times. I mean't PILOT's ATC test. Not real ATC. The hardest part of the ATC test for me is the speech one where you have to talk like its a real situation with an instructor, you have to talk clear and fast. That was hard. And the sims are cool!

^^ Wouldn't you be able to identify what it was if you have taken courses. Also talking fast is not a good thing, most pilots will need you to say it again if you talk too fast, which just wastes time!

I'd like a copy of that. Though my native language is Danish, I guess I can make my way through it.. Otherwise, I'll just get drunk, that makes it SO easy to read & speak Norweigian & Swedish  Big thumbs up

you have to talk clear and fast.

If you talk too fast, no one will understand you..
