Any Of You Ever See This Program? Know Of Others?

Sat Oct 27, 2001 1:22 pm

I recently received this excellent set of programs on video, produced by The Learning Channel...........

Has anybody else watched these fine programs on airliner crashes?
These are the best programs I've seen on the subject of air disasters. One of the volumes takes us into the Delta Airlines simulator shortly after Delta 191 crashed due to wind shear at DFW in 1985. A top Captain for DL is shown combatting the fierce conditions in the sim, as he fights to remain in control of his L-1011. He couldn't do it. Just like 191, he went down. His remarks as he struggles to keep the jet airborne are worth the price of the video!

What other crash-related videos are out there?
Anybody got any others?

Thanks...

Thanks, N17085. Forgot about Wings.

MSNBC had a good one early this year. Taped it during one of its many showings ("Why Airplanes Crash").

You pick up a lot of little-known facts on these documentaries [at least I did].

Example: A horrifying fact regarding Air Florida's "Palm 90" Boeing 737 disaster in 1982: The flight crew forgot to turn on the anti-icing equipment before take-off!! Incredible, seeing as how there was a major snowstorm in progress!
