I don't think it has anything to do with bird strikes (in contrast with the picture's comment). Even if a bird would avoid an aircraft because of the color of the nose, I don't think it would have time enough to even see the colored nose, let alone it would be able to avoid the aircraft.

IMO the aircraft suffered radome damage and AF didn't had a spare available so they borrowed one from another company, which was already (partly) painted.

Hello,

Indeed, this has nothing to do with birds. Actually, that nose piece is black at the origin. It's then subsquently painted in white (or another color).

So, the nose probably had to be replaced, and rather than to run in late with the maintenance schedule, they let it white until the next time they have time to paint it.
