I posted this topic under a separate title (Pamplona) but not too many takers.
In case anyone missed it, BA had a spectacular second quarter, exceeding analysts' expectations by $.08/share after extraordinary items. The company saw great profitability across all sectors, commercial, military, and space. Looks like Commercial is back on track. A turn around in Asia might even turn bleak 2-3 year forecasts around for both ARBU and BA.
According to Condit and Debbie Hopkins, BA is looking for acquisitions. There are rumors about Embraer looking for partners as well. How about a strategic alliance here with BA taking say, a 40% stake and dropping the 736 and 717 lines. Use the stretched EMBs under development as a replacement and take advantage of BA's sales channel to sell even more.
If this isn't a solid topic for this forum, we might as well change the name to Airliner Wrestling Federation.net What do you jetheads think?
