This Will Help Ua!

Mon Oct 29, 2001 6:23 pm

Fewer A/C types. Larger A/C. Fewer number of flights. They gain or stay the same in ASM's with the larger A/C.

My UA Fleet

733 or 319/320
752 and 753
763 and 764 Int and Domestic
772 and 744 Int and Domestic

Done, that it thats all.

That will cause longer boarding time, less connections and less good-connecions... but, great thinking... think again sometime!

Isn't that what the UA fleet would be with the exception of the 762 gone, and 753 and 764 in its place? They are retiring the 722/732 aircraft and the 742(If they have any left)

This basically is their long-range fleet plan. I don't see a reason for them to have a 763, 764, and 772. The 764 seems like an extra sub-type in there that isn't necessary. Same with the 753 as long as the 762's are flying. We'll still be seeing 733's & 735's for a while though.

Hey Schreiner!!!

God forbid, it might actually help the bottom line of UA and maybe, just maybe cut back on who knows, delays, cancelled flights, lost luggage etc.

Longer Boarding times?? Oh my what a hassle, would you rather sit on the tarmac for an hour to take-off due to the excess number on flights that could be dealt with using larger A/C???

So you please THINK again!!!
