No, then people would "hang out" in there and keep them occupied even longer.

Really, that would be cool. Is it normal size or the size like in the exit doors?

The SAS A340's do. Maybe FBU FOREVER can enlighten us on which other aircraft do.

I wouldn't mind windows. The chances of someone looking in from the outside are pretty remote, especially at 35,000 feet.  Laugh out loud

The Saab 2000 has a little window in the lav, enabling passengers "to enjoy the beauty of the Swiss alps even while being in the bathroom" (quote from Crossair's former CEO Moritz Suter)

If I remember right, the Tupolev TU-134 also has bulleyes in the lavs?

Best regards,

Tom

Hmm, I seem to recall something about Qantas having windows on their lavs/loos Big grin too. And as someone said, they keep pulling down the blinds, despite it's a hard job finding any peeping toms at FL390

ASA's EMB-120s have windows in the lavatories (at least the one I was on.) The window was the same size as the ones in the cabin at the seats. I thought it was neat!

I remember that the lavs on Eastern Electras had little round windows. The lavs were in the plane of the props, and you could stand up on the toilet seat and look out over the wing. And I believe the DC-6B had the same feature, with the restrooms being in the plane of the props.

I've heard that pax are still to shy to use a bathroom with a window, even if you are at 35,000 feet. Also pax use bathrooms while the plane is on the ground also.

No peeping please!
 Big grin

not really needed, i feel. pple dont spend much time in the lav, a window will make the (already insufficient esp on long-haul widebodies) lavs occupied for too long by some person who doesnt have a window seat. Rather have it covered up if the water closet and other fittings are placed against the wall.

All TU-134s have skywindows above the lavs so you can look at the horizontal stabilizer while you're on the toilet.  Smile

I think all SAS' new planes has windows in the lavs.
That is the B736, A333, A343 and A321.
I'm not sure about the A321 though.

It should probably be noted that the windows are in the Business Class cabins' toilets. Us poor schmucks in the back don't have them.

Lufthansa and Qantas ' s First Class toilets have windows in them. QF's window sort of has a reflector so that you can look down directly below as opposed to when guys are standing.... that people can 'see' in! Lufthansa's First Class is on the Upper Deck. Two toilets - one in the front and one at the back of the upper deck. They're big too - bigger than QF's. Enough room to do a jig!

if they started all that, people would spend too much time taking a crap (those cursed with middle seats) and other ppl wouldn't get the opportunity to do the same.
