I totally agree with you.
It's the best news the aviation has had since 9th 11th. I just hope people have not lost faith in it. I certainly hav'ent.

But does anyone know if the concorde will ever be back in Toronto? BA used to have chartered concorde flights up till the grounding of their fleet.
I like British Airways! I'm not sure why, but I do! ;-)

AF fly tomorrow, so do BA, though BA's flight is full of VIP's, press etc. They, with the crew, will be having a dinner that evening hosted by the NY mayor, returning thursday. The 'proper' BA001's start friday.
Tomorrow afternoon, Tony Blair is expected to fly on Concorde to Washington, (probably Andrews AFB).
Charters are not a part of the relaunch, maybe a few lucrative ones from 2003. They generate 9% of profits, but use up a disprortionate amount of airframe life.
BA have so far sold 7500 tickets, generating £20 million.

All the UK and US media are planning full live coverage of the flights tomorrow.

Roll on 10:30 in Europe and the UK.

Gordon.

... and there will be a joint AF/BA press conference immediately after Concorde's arrival in New York in which will take part Rudolph Giuliani, mayor of New York, Jean-Claude Gayssot, French Minister of Transport , John Spellar, his British counterpart and the two Airline Presidents Jean-Cyril Spinetta and Rod Eddington.

Nice gesture !

Have any of the flights sold out yet? I remember reading something about this at the weekend.

Finally, I waited for this all time since the Concordes where grounded  Smile.
I guess that rich people who don't like to fly will prefer to fly Concorde now, only half time across the atlantic Big grin.
