Northwest Airlines@ HKG

Thu Nov 08, 2001 12:20 pm

This morning on my way in to work in Hong Kong I saw a NorthWest Airlines 747 fly much lower than usual on a departure track out of CLK. Usually by the time they get over central Hong Kong planes are fairly high up but this was much. much lower - I'd say maybe a quarter of the altitude you would usualy expect it. I'm assuming it was the regular flight to Tokyo and JFK, which usually leaves around 8.30. Just wondered whether it had a problem. PS My wife noticed it first so it wasn't just me.

It left the gate at 8.35 and did not come back so I assume all was fine.
