Minnesota Vikings A/C...727 At Phl?

Mon Nov 12, 2001 10:58 am

Hi all,

I was at PHL Saturday morning, and parked in the A concourse, a non international gate, was an unusual 727 that I had never seen before. It was white with the tail and rear section navy blue, and above the windows midway across the fuselage was some writing, in a script type font that I was unable to read...I suspected that it was the Minnesota Vikings aircraft since they were here this weekend to play the Eagles...anyone have any idea if this was their aircraft and if not, whose it was?

Thanks,

I think I may be of some help. Thanks for the description. I bet it was an old Champion Air 727. They had blue tails and back fuselage. I don't know what the writing MIDWAY was about!

I hope I couls help a little bit. People let me know if I'm wrong. I'd like to know this info too.

Odd are that it was a Champion Air 727-200 adv.

Champion Air flies charters for Apple Vacations several times a week to PUJ, NAS and CUN. Saturdays are a double rotation to both CUN and PUJ.
