Wed Nov 14, 2001 3:13 pm

Does anyone know of an emergency landing that occoured at SFO on Monday? Appearently an aircraft failed to deploy its landing gear several times, but finally got them down and landed. Anyone got any information on this?

As nothing happened it may be hard to find out anything, unless you know people in ATC.

Yes.

A United Airlines 762 inbound from Boston did make an emergency landing at SFO last night. I was working last night at 87A, the SkyWest gate in the main United terminal. The plane landed safely, but the passengers were evacuated from the plane (no slides used) and bused off the active runway. They sent all the buses to the ground at 87A, taking over our little area and unloading all the passengers at 87A ground. They all came up the stairs and grouped around Gate 87. It was an interesting sight... nothing bad happened.

There was an article in the Boston Globe yesterday regarding this incident.
