Midway Express

Thu Nov 15, 2001 5:14 am

I´m currently looking for data about an airline called "Midway Express". It should have cheased operations in the early 90ties and had a big order for the Dornier 328 turboprop (could soeone please provide the numbers?). Where did they operate? For whom? And what was their fleet? Thanx for help!

Regards

Midway Express was created when the original MIDWAY
purchased the assets of AIR FLORIDA, MIDWAY then operated florida routes
using their B737-200's

don't have any info on their turboprop order though - sorry

You might be talking about Midway Connection which utilized Metros and Dornier 228's.

Don't know about any orders for 328's. I doubt the 328 was even out when they were in operation.

It's possible. Midway Part 1 went out in 1993 or 1994 I believe... NW was suppose to buy them but pulled out at last minute....

The DoDo prop started services in 1995 I believe... Horizon, Aspen Mountain Air, MAX (Mountain Air Express), Lone Star, PSA, and now Air Wisconsin fly the DoDos.....
