Airlinersonline.com:

"American Airlines (Dallas/Fort Worth) is discontinuing the Miami - Seattle/Tacoma - Tokyo (Narita) ("change of gauge" flight - not the same aircraft although with the same flight number) and the Dallas/Fort Worth - Osaka routes on January 8. The company however is considering a nonstop Miami - Tokyo (Narita) or Boston - Tokyo (Narita) route in the future."

Let's hope so. MIA-NRT would be great!

NWA ARJ, NWA does not fly MIA-NRT or BOS-NRT, and why not fly American? If they can offer non-stop service, it makes sense.
