Air Canada Airbus Deliveries

Wed Nov 21, 2001 3:15 am

With all the activity in the Canadian airline industry over the last 2 years I have been unable to determine the order status for new AC aircraft.

I know that AC ordered 12 A321 (along with a simliar number of A319) some time back but I had assumed that they were cancelled...I recently saw a photo of an AC A321 being finished at Hamburg.

Can anyone advise? I am also assuming that these aircraft are destined to replace 767-200 aircraft. Is this a correct assumption? I am basing this on the fact that AC seems to have excess capacity in their A320 fleet (ergo Tango)

Thanks
