Concorde To Barbados, Why?

Why does BA fly London-Barbados, since Barbados is more a leisure destination rather than a business destination like New York?

There's a lot of wealthy UK residents who love to jaunt down to the Caribbean supersonically. One of the benefits of having a large population.

Barbados is a popular and often exclusive holiday destination for the very rich and famous, including some members of the British Royal family. I guess where there is the patronage, the flights are viable. Services recommencing with Concorde from Heathrow in December.

The BGI route has many regulars who use it every year, the flights start 01 December, and run until April.
The BA273 departs at 09:30 from LHR, returning later that day. Flight time is usually 4 hours 10 minutes.
Many flights this season are already fully booked.
