The longest runway at COS is 13,500 feet, so to answer your question, the largest plane that CAN serve COS is the largest plane that can serve any airport, which is the Boeing 747-400 or the upcoming Airbus A380. Now since Colorado Springs doesn't have the population base to support service from either of those aircraft, the largest plane you'll probably ever see for normal scheduled service is a United 757-200.

UAL used to bring DC-10s in from Denver, and Air Force One has visited COS, so does that answer your question?

NASA conducts high-altitude tests out of COS all the time. There is always a NASA plane sitting at COS, usually a 757 but they also bring there 777 to COS.

Pretty much any aircraft ever built with landing gears can take-off and land at COS. Some aircraft (most actually) will have some restrictions but they will be able to land and take-off.

COS currently has the longest runway in Colorado, 13,500ft long. The runway is also 200ft. wide.

Don't forget that COS shares its runways with Peterson Air Force Base which recieves all sorts of military aircraft from F-15s to C-5 Galaxys. Mainly C-130s though.

N737MC,

See it for yourself:

They may not own it, but this perticular Boeing 777-300 at COS is used to conduct high-altitude tests. The inside is full of computers.

Yes, Air Force One has visited COS.

If you look behind the Western Pacific 737-300 in the distance you will Air Force One (the 747-200) taxiing by Peterson Air Force Base

LY744, don't forget that NORAD is right next door, and that's Presidential business.
