How Many A300s Does AA Have?

Tue Nov 27, 2001 3:25 pm

Pretty simple question... how many? Do they keep any in storage or are they all flying now. Did they all go in for repairs or special maintanence checks after the tragic crash a couple weeks ago?

Thanks for your info.

Too many.

On a more serious note, I believe the number is 34.

Yes, they have 34. All on lease I believe. The checks of the other aircraft were done quickly and as I understand it all 34 are currently in use, primarily on Southeastern/southamerican/carribean routes, but also witha certain number operating transatlantically. The transatlantic ones have PTV's, and were the first american planes to have them. I believe the other ones are based out of MIA, not sure about the transatlantic ones.
Next flight.... who knows.
