Cabin Retrofits For Older NW Dc-9s

Wed Nov 28, 2001 6:21 am

I flew on Northwest several years back and noticed that they had retrofitted the cabin out with new overheads, sidepanels, etc, including handles on the overheads like in the 717.

I recently flew on a HA 717 and was very impressed by the cabin interior. However, I can't recall whether it matched the one in that NW DC-9 I flew.

Does anyone know if the same company doing the 717 interior designed/produced the retrofit cabin kits for NW/

The Cabin Retrofits you saw on Northwest are different from the Cabins on the 717. As you can see from these photos, they are not different by much, but the 717 is more ergonomical.

I hope this helps you out. I know that the 717 bins are called EZFit Bins.
