Continental Airlines Directors Meeting

Thu Nov 29, 2001 2:32 am

I heard on the 27th of Nov., the CAL board of directors had a meeting in Houston. Has anyone got any info on the outcome, like fleet plans, layoffs, inrease of flights, any info at all.

Thanks in advance

The directors meeting is pretty much just a formality to confirm decisions that Gordon Bethune and his boys had already made. The biggest news coming out of the meeting was Jeff Misner's elevation from Sr.VP-Finance to CFO.

There wasn IPO of Class B stock today at $22.50 a share.

Airlines have executive meetings all the time, why hould this one be anything out of the ordinary?

The B.O.D were supposed to be coming out with a major announcement about bringing back 28 MD-80's and adding flights to CLE. Has anyone heard anything to this effect.

Thanks,

Why would the BOD be involved with something as mundane as MD80 returns and CLE expansion? As pointed out, they are more concerned with stuff like the CAL.B offering and the executive appointments.
