IFLC...who Will Get The A380s?

Mon Dec 03, 2001 7:06 am

Who will be leasing IFLC A380s? It appears as though Iberia is likely going to lease three for MIA and EZE flights. How about the other two? Any suggestions on who may be likely suitors. Perhaps some SE Asian carriers like Thai, PAL, or Guarda?

I heard Caledonian Wings is going to be leasing a few, for their Trans-Atlantic service from Prestwick!

I may be wrong, but wasn't CX said to lease some of those ILFC-A380?

Given that CX doesn't seem to want to buy planes itself, it may well lease them from ILFC. This probably suits their low risk approach!

How about Air France? If you look at their fleet, they always have a mixed owned/leased fleet of each type. And they're one of ILFC's largest customers.
