Horizontal Tail On The Mercure

Tue Dec 04, 2001 10:39 pm

Hi to all my dear fellows,

Tako a look on this foto, don't you find that the horizontal stabilisator of the Mercure was too curved, I find it particularly non-usual, what about you?

A little too curved, a little too backward. The engines look like the designers took the idea from a cartoon drawing. An ugly aircraft all round.

Even the cockpit windows look like a cartoon. I still say the Mercure is ugly.

I wouldn't say ugly. It remembers me to a first Airbus 320 study, look at the tail cone...

The horizontal stab is really angled upwards, but it seems to be related to the very small tail. Just aerodynamics, I guess.

Looks like an A-320 with JT-8's to me!
