SQ announced a few days ago, that their load factor was down from 74 to 69 %. That is not to bad. I tried to get a SQ flight from FRA to SIN at the end of dec. No chance.
But I think they will all reduce capacity even I see the asian market not that bad hidden, in comparison to the north american and european market.

regards SQ

Other Asian airlines?
They're all increasing fleet sizes in Indonesia, or increasing flight frequencies !

What about Thai Airways? They are adding flights aren't they? They also opend a new route to Mumbai. The major thing that holding them down is the unprofitable domestic routes.

Thai is launching services to Mumbai, India and Chengdu, China as well as increasing another frequency to Dubai making it 4 weekly. DEL will served by 6-weekly 777 instead of daily 330. Too bad LAX goes to just thrice weekly.

THAI uses 747-300s to DEL also don't they? I remember that until 1996 I used to commute between Bangkok and London alot and I remember that THAI have a three times a week BKK-DEL-LHW on 747-300 or 200 before while the direct flights are 747-400s.

PacificFlyer BKK-DEL-LHR already cancelled around 3 years ago. Since then DEL was switched to 777 and now it's 10 times direct BKK-LHR.

THAI flights to Mumbai are operated by Airbus A330.
