What Does Pax Mean?

I see this word coming up all the time now...what does it mean?

Refers to passengers, kind of a shortened form of the word.

Abbreviations for Passengers.....

I guess H/R(Human Remains) could also be passengers except they aren't the breathing type.
OBAMA-WORST PRESIDENT EVER....Even SKOORB would be better.

Apparently pax originated from the old days where messages and the like for TAs (travel agents) were charged by the character.

Secondly, it's shorter.
