Helicopter Speed Question?

Thu Jul 29, 1999 11:59 pm

Hello To Everybody,
Can anyone out there provide information regarding modern helicopters and their maximum speed?
I have been working on a research project and the information I have been able to get seems to cover only older helicopters.
For example: The Chinook series that has been around for over 30 years reaches max speeds of 184 mph.
I know there have been advances in the speeds helicopters reach and have read that some have broken the 200 mph speed but have been unable to get specific info on this subject.
Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Pete
