I think marketing specialization is the key solution for making the Airline Industry profitable. Therefore, I can´t forsee Latino carriers flying to Asia.
No doubt there´s a market, but those passengers are more likely to connect through LAX or even DFW and JFK for the Eastern trips in the future.
The fact that VARIG and JAL are flying some Asia / Latin-America routes doesn´t mean it is big business. These airlines, for example, will be better off by strenghen their code-sharing agreements with ANA / UAL and AA, so each one can operate its specialized route.
