I saw the Orient Thai 747 at BKK a couple of weeks ago.
Mostly white. I wish it was more colourful.

The Kampuchea 742 is probably G-BDXB which positioned out to China in the last week or two.

Ok Jan.

When did G-BDXB go to China ?? . About two months back I think G-BDXB was due to arrive in Hong Kong. At the last minute they cancelled the flight and that was it.

Daryl,

I saw it in BKK as well, from the cockpit of S7-RGM on one of the flights I did with them.

Did Jeff get any good footage of us coming into CLK ???
If you did get a shot of us, can you post it or email it to me ? Would be fun to see...

I don't think he got any footage at all!! We were standing at Rwy 07 threshold and you came in on 25R!!! They switched runways on us and I think yours was one of the first arrivals after that!!!

G-BDXB was "retired" to Kemble airfield originally, when 747's go here they dont fly out again usually their chopped up! But this one was given a reprieve and flew back to LHR and then on to Xiamen on 5th Dec.

Apparently this one has a lot of hours on it so it probably would have been best to cut it up Big grin

Cheers

If BDXB has a lot of hours on it, then it would be cheap, which would be a prime candidate for use by an airline like Kampuchea!!
