Just because it's not American, you don't have to take to piss out of it.
Don't forget, an American is an American Indian. All the rest are Europeans! and Africans.

Neat.... But how do they get those huge wings to fold up?

I bet the runway was more than enough for an A380 landing!  Big thumbs up I like it.

The flag flown above the bridge denotes the nationality of the port being visited, which is Honk Kong, as Hkgspotter1 says. The nationality flag of the ship is always flown off the stern. When you see a US ship in the US you see both flags as US flags, so people aren't always used to making the distinction.
Too bad planes don't have this custom!

How would that work? For example, if a plane lands in Hong Kong, should it have an american flag on the pitot tube and a chinese flag on the com antenna?

Actually I was thinking that maybe the F/O or even the lead flight attendant could get out on final approach and string something up!  Big grin

Hmmm...I wonder if the tail will fall off if not folded up correctly...

Hkspotter1,

Just a question about the ships. Did any US warships visit HK since September? And if, I don't think that they're still offering the tours.

Back in 1998 I was on a tour on a US ship in HK, it was USS Dubuque. It's not an aircraft carrier, but there were quite a lot of helicopters aboard. And it was very interesting.

I love touring Naval ships. I've had the pleasure of touring the USS Tripoli, and a russian sub!! I can't remember the name of the sub. :-(

Regards,
Kris
