World Tail's For Franchises, Why Not?

Wed Dec 26, 2001 9:32 pm

Why cant the main British Airways sport the Union flag on their own fleet, and allow the subsidiaries and franchises to wear the world tails? because according to a thread here BA's German subsidiary Deutsche BA are going to retain their "Bavaria" tail's and their entire fleet will sport that design, so why do BA's African franchises Com Air(South Africa) and Regional Airlines(Kenya) have to wear the Union flag? why cant they wear the African designs from the world tail's collection, same goes for the other franchises, that way some of the better looking world tails can be kept Smile

Probably for the same reason that Virgin Atlantic/Express/Blue/Sun all have the same logo on their tails...it's all about brand identity and maintaing the brands presence in places the parent carrier doesn't access.
