This may be a little off base, but I have a friend who acquired some AA MD-80X seats and turned them into seats for his home theatre. He also built a bed that has some AC service units (B727) in the headboard with working reading lights and fresh air vents. The O2 masks are still packed inside! So I'm not too suprised that Valujet is looking for such items. Sadly, I don't know where to find them. I think they would make a great wine rack though!

Wow, BMD82, Your friend is pretty cool. Did he hook the Lights up to his wiring in the house, or is he using some type of transformer that transforms 120v to 28v. or the necessary aircraft voltage?

I have cockpit avionics from a Boeing 727 and other assorted aviation memorabilia. If you're interested email me at NMBoeingFan@aol.com

Boeing 727-BED

Yes, he used some sort of transformer for house current. The lights work great. He used a B737-200 gasper fan for the fresh air vents, but he doesn't use them. They are way too loud for practical use, it's a cool conversation piece though! If you flick a switch, the O2 masks drop, but it's a pain to get them packed again.

Anyway, good to hear you found a place for the bev cart!
