Defence Courses For Cockpit/Cabin Crews

Sun Dec 30, 2001 10:47 pm

Times have changed, so do you think self defence and other preventative courses should be part of the crew's training, as well as more emphasis on physical fitness? do you think airlines should have a couple of "Bouncer" type stewards on each flight in addition to the air marshalls Confused

The Job of the Flight crew is to fly the plane. I wouldnt want my pilot to try any Akshay Kumar type antics which put the aircraft and its occupants in any danger.

it is better for the crew to keep the situation calm and under control and bring the aircraft in such a position that would enable the law enforcing authorities to do their job.

After Sep.11, if any pax tried anything nasty, the other pax would handle him anyway.
