Tiger Woods' Plane!

Fri Jan 04, 2002 6:10 pm

Local newspaper here (Wellington,NZ) says Tiger Woods' arrives here Tuesday aboard a leased aircraft direct from Hawaii.
Will be parking at the International Terminal rather than the normal Corporate Jet parking area.

Does anyone know what type of aircraft this is??

As far as I know he owns/uses a Boeing Business Jet.

But I don't think a Citation X could make HNL-WLG nonstop. It's well over 4,000nm. Maybe his X is souped up with extra tanks.

I think he is in on a share with ExecJet on that, not sure. From what I know though he does own a Citation X.

Citation X has a very large range... more than 4000miles if I remind that correctly..

Greg Norman doesn't have a BBJ. He was suppose to promote it for Boeing on the PGA circuit but the deal fell through...
Of course, he may flexjet one too...

Cessna advertises the Citation X's max range at about 3500nm. If this is indeed it's max range it couldn't make it from HNL to Wellington nonstop.

I am positive he flys in a citation X. I sat next to an X pilot on a flight to chicago and he was telling me how he flew tiger to a tournament one time. This guy was a pilot for executjet, i have his card if anyone doesn't belive me and wants to call him to verify!

Thanks guys,
If it's a BBJ, then that'll be the first one to visit here as far as I know.
Newspaper said HNL-WLG direct but that may not be the case; we all know about newspaper reporting.

Just that where they said it was going to park was not normally where they park the executive jets unless they're gonna move it later.

Tiger arrived into Maui on a Executive Jet G4. Believe me, I had to carry his clubs from the plane to the car. Ugh.....heavy.

I am also sure that Tiger Woods has a Citation X, not a BBJ

Well, he arrived this morning aboard a Gulfstream V like the one Fritzi's pics above, N508QS.

As a side note, security here is very tight for him due to a cyanide letter that was posted to the American Embassy threatening to disrupt the NZ Golf Open where he is playing.
He is being guarded by Police armed with MP5 submachine guns and they're also riding the commuter rail system as the threat was also aimed at those travelling to the event by train.

Coincidently, if anyone remembers, golf legend Arnold Palmer was the launch customer for the Citation X.
I don't know, so this is my signature.
