Sun Jan 06, 2002 3:11 am

What do you folks thinking about this airline ?
Shall we still hold on as passengers to that fabolous airline ?
I think yes, because they do their best and still provide a perfect onboard service and nearly always ontime !
They doing their best to hold up proudly their Swiss Flag !!! Go on CROSSAIR !!!

I have flown a couple of times with them after the Swissair drama and it is as good as ever. However, I now prefer to go via LX Basel hub instead of ZRH. I was also booked on them when Swissair folded (I went out to Spain on SR/LX to Spain the day before SR folded...) and they did a marvelous job re-booking and re-routing me for my flight back. I will give them all the support they need to survive. Hopefully, the forced departure of founder Moritz Suter will have no negative effect on the airlines philosophy.

Does anybody know about Crossair's A320-order? They had ordered 8 A320s, mainly for their charter purposes, but now it seems as if they have more A32x (ex SR) than they need.
Flying on Crossair right now must be fun - the flights are empty (hope this will change again soon), on-time, and really new aircraft.

Vfw614: I´am glad to hear that and also try to support them all I can do ! Just 4 week ago I flew from HAJ-ZRH-STR with LX and was surprised again about that excellent service and so I wrote a Letter to the passenger service in BSL that they should go on like this !
Ndebel I heard they frozed all orders and thinking now about a few 32X from SR ! But they also get the ER170 !!

Hi!

I'm now working on CRX's basel hub, and I can tell you:
-the CRX service is still excellent with good food and nice service
-the planes are not so empty as you could think
-punctuallity at BSL is quite good also
-the BSL hub will become more and more convenient with the ending of the terminals improvement works

I'm quite positive about CRX's future but I'd prefer that the name Swissair remains on Long-haul intercontinental flights!

Hello all

CRX is just the best. I love to fly them. Unfortunately the media are bashing them right now (today's sunday newspaper SonntagsBlick again!).

I will fly them probably next week, maybe to Copenhagen or London.

Go Crossair!

See ya.

The media changed from bashing Swissair to bash Crossair now. The latest can be read in today's sunday papers: Crossair ordered new Embraers without thrust reversers, and, another aircraft type would not have skidded off the runway in Sarajevo, but the Avro's don't have thrust reversers. What a BS!!

I don't hesitate to fly Crossair, not a second. Their service ist still impeccable and most airlines could learn from Crossair. The longhaul flights will be a new territory for Crossair, but I hope, Swissair can bring in as much know-how as possible.

As for the orders: LX will take over a total of 26 A320 family aircraft. The original order for 8 A320 is cancelled, as this order was not placed by Crossair, but by SAirGroup's leasing arm Flightlease, which is under administration now.

Gerardo

Indeed, I still have the old "Flying together: Swissair/Crossair" seatcovers in my car, and for sure I will proudly keep them. I just wish I had taken two of those Sabena headcovers, too. Well yes, I got them for free, just being nice to the crew, and in the end asking them if I could have some headcovers for my car.

Btw, does anybody know what kind of headcovers Crossair and DAT use right now? I'm sure they don't use the SR / SN seatcovers any more, do they? It's a shame, but I have never been aboard a LX / DAT aircraft since SR / SN went bust.

Good luck in up-loading your pics, HB-IQF! Johan keeps on rejecting my pics, hope you'll be more lucky.

Hy!
I will fly Crossair in two week and I'm looking forward to it. I really enjoyed my last LX/SR flights last summer an I wonder how the 'new' crossair will be.
Good luck

While the LX code will be used on inter-continental flights starting in April, I have a feeling the Swissair name will stay. It's still considered, evne after what happened in October, one of the premier names in the airline industry, and Crossair letting it just go would be ridiculous.

The "new" Crossair is the same as the old but more familiar service than before ! I was surprised 4 weeks ago what you get during the flight, not only a snack-tray also a lot of sweets and cookies ! And Champain

I flew from BSL to Stockholm-Arlanda (ERJ145) and it was a very pleasant flight. Crossair is, in my opinion, the best european airline.

Best regards to all who love Crossair

Crossair is definitly a premium class airline. Flow them on new year from Zürich to Amsterdam and back. They were extremly good, the Flight Attendants were amazing. I loved them very much.

Hello!

I have flown Crossair before the breakdown of Swissair and afterwards and really loved ALL these flights!

My most recent flights were on my favorite Crossair aircraft, last saturday 05.01. LX from Luxembourg to Zürich and back yesterday evening on LX ZRH-LUX with a foggy landing...

When LX still operated the Avro 100 into LUX I also flew this route a couple of times in Business and Economy Class. The bottomline of these experiences was that LX in Economy was always far better than the Luxair or Schreiner/DAT/Sabena product in Business Class.

Go Crossair!!!

Tom

P.S.: Ndebele & HB-IQF, when SR still gave us special rates, I also used them from LUX to STR via ZRH a couple of times, my last flight with an Air Littoral ATR-42-500 ZRH-STR.. hurrr....
