B747-400 expected orders

According to the same website, these are expected orders for B747-400

Northwest - 8
China Airlines - 4 (-400F) is being considered
China Eastern - 5 (-400X), may order A340-500 instead
Air New Zealand - 1

I think China Eastern will order the Airbus A340-500 because they already have the A340-300 in there fleet. Northwest Airlines won't get all the 8 747-400's until the year 2005.

Flight International said a while back that China Eastern would order the 747-400 in the future. It said it would get the next batch of 747-400s ordered by teh Chinese Government.

Air New Zealand has already taken delivery of one 747-400 that destined for PAL.
