Gulf Air will increase its flights to the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, to cater to the increase in passenger demand, said an official of the airline yesterday.

Speaking at a function organised by Gulf Air, Hamza Mohammed Sharif, the airline's Area Manager for Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, said it would operate three non-stop flights and seven flights via Bahrain to Karachi as well. Two non-stop flights to Peshawar will also be operated.

Sharif said Gulf Air is looking at opportunities to expand its operational network by adding important destinations in the future.

He praised the agents for their support and explained Gulf Air's strategy and plans for this year. Special awards were distributed to the most productive staff of the travel agencies.
