Lauda Air's 777 Seat Pitch

Thu Jan 10, 2002 5:16 pm

Hello everyone!

I'm looking for a missing info; Does anyone know the exact pitch of Lauda's C/class (Amadeus) and Y/class of the 777-200??

I know some of you tried it in the past, how was it?

And what about the 3x4x3 configuration in the back of the a/c? is it that bad?

Thanx, Michael Smile

As far as I know Amadeus is 45-47" while the Economy is 31-33". Any 777 with 3+4+3 Economy seating is cramped but the Mid-section of the aircraft offer 3+3+3 seating. I think it has something to do with the rear seats being 'reserved' for tour-operators.

I´ve never flown Lauda but from what I´ve heard their service should be pretty good! And there should be some nice looking F/A´s!!!

I've flown many time with both LaudaAir A/G and LaudaAir Italia and their service is really good, more on European flights with CRJ or B737 than on long-haul.

The seats pich are:

47" on Amadeus B772 (with a 2+3+2 abreast)
45" on Amadeus B763 (with a 2+2+2 abreast)
31" on Economy both B772 and B763 (even if some rows are 32" on B763) (2+3+2 abreast on B763 and 3+3+3 abreast on mid-section of the B772 and 3+4+3 in the back).
On scheduled flights on B772 you could go in the mid or back section of Economy but it's better to ask a seat in the middle.
All the Lauda long haul fleet get PTV's and sky-phone on each seats. The PTV's movies are available only in two language (English and German).
The flight-code is now OS.

My flight on Lauda Air's 777 is of the best so far on a 777. Great food, great inflight entertainement incl newswire service and friendly flight attendents. I sat in the middle section where it's 3-3-3. Seat and pitch was very comfortable. The777Man

50 inch for the Amadeus Class
31 for the Economy Class.

Seat is comfortable but could be better.
Quality of the Catering is Tops.
Best of All the Airlines Around.

Latest news is that their New 777 is being deliverd in the First week of April.

The setup is a bit different than the other two.
Most likely there will be new seats in the Amadeus Class. More news will follow as soon as it has been releases for the media
