Miat To Lease 738, Airbus Pushing Hard For 320

Sat Jan 12, 2002 1:31 am

According to, MIAT Mongoian Airlines is currently considering the lease of a Boeing 737-800 from GATX. If the deal is signed the aircraft would be delivered in the 2nd quarter of this year with a 2nd aircraft planned for 2005.

Airbus is trying to get MIAT to take the Airbus A320-200 instead.

So I guess their B727 will be retired soon?

They operated a couple of flights to Hong Kong with the A310.

Once they had three 727's but I think its only two now.
