I was the FO on the Raiders charter to PHL, and yes, we had a DC-10 there for a couple days (N127AA). We flew in the evening of Oct 26th, and left after the game on the 28th. We parked in the far northeast corner of the airport near an abandoned hangar. It was a great trip - sorry your Eagles lost
Hawaiian has the contract for flying the Raiders to all their away games, including the Super Bowl if they get that far.
I haven't seen the pairings for the trip for the New England game, but I'm not sure we'd be going into PVD. That's a fairly short runway, and would have to be a -30. It's just too short for a -10. And if you're hanging around OAK looking for our plane, look quick. We ferry up from LAX and pick up the team in OAK. We're usually on the ground there less than two hours.
One smooth landing is skill. Two in a row is luck. Three in a row and someone is lying.
