It is quite common on windy days for TV crews to take some video of planes struggle, and then show it during the weather.

Oh yeah! I've seen that before. Those pilots must have been suprised! "Where'd the runway go?!"

if you listen to it really loudly you can hear a lady go "o man that is his second time isnt it". the were probly just spotters who had a camera and saw the first failed attempt and decided to record the next.

I think over at ONT? UPS is pretty big out there, and you can see the mountains in the background. I know ONT is more interior than places like SNA and LAX, where the mountains would be less prevalent.
