Earning Miles On OneWorld Flights

Mon Jan 21, 2002 6:29 am

I will shortly be flying from Ireland to the USA, Mexico & Venezuela using BA, AA and Aer Lingus. As there airlines are all part of OneWorld, can I use my BA Executive Club membership to earn points on all flights?

Depends on your booking class (some discount Y classes are excluded). Also no BA miles on AA transatlantic or AA miles on BA transatlantic.

it depends on what portions you are flying with which airline. If your transatlantic flight is on AA then you can't use Executive club, but other then that, within continental US and America, you must be able to use the BA executive Club Card.
I tried using my AAdvantage on a transatlantic flight on BA, I almost got beaten up :p

cheers.

Yes, I also found out about the BA/AA deal. I was flying BA BOS-LHR, and I was going to put the miles on AA, but the desk clerk told me that I couldn't because AA competes with BA on that route.
