I know
BA have 57 boeing 747-400, they also had or maybe still have 15 older -200's, but are to be retired this year. Singapore have 39 747-400's
KLM have 29, 15 -400's, 14 -300's,
Luftansa have 35 total, 28 -400's, 7 -200's,
can't seem to find out United, Qantas, or JAL's totals for 747's, but they for sure will be in the top 5,
Hope this helps a little

I always thought BA had the largest 747 fleet, but maybe that was before the 777.

BA has the largest fleet of 747-400s but JAL has the most of all types.

For what it is worth I went and counted the 747s listed in Bill Harms. So I maybe off slightly on some of the counts

1- JAL with 79, plus 4 @ JAL Ways and 6 @ JAL Asia
2- BA with 57, and like Northstar said they are all -400s
3- SQ with 51
4- NW with 46, however 10 of them are freighters
5- KE with 45
6- UA with 44
7- QF, CX, AF with 37 (however CX would have 42, but 5 of their -300s are with PIA)
10- ANA and Atlas with 36

Note: Technically Lufthansa has 37, but their seven freighters are with Lufthansa Cargo.
