Plane Spotting In Toronto

Fri Jan 25, 2002 3:02 am

Other than the parking garage at terminal 1, does any fellow Torontonians know of other places to watch planes at close range?

There are tons of places, try using the search feature in this forum or the aviation photography forum, I know I've posted details of spots at YYZ before...

Not really bitter, but it's true, I was out that the boeing lot last saturday evening around 8pm, and all I saw was AC, and it was all AC plastic, no 767's or 747's I was tehre for like an hour!

I know what you mean, its the Airbus show, anything from SSV A320's to AC's entire Airbus fleet. What really tops it all off, is when United brings in their airbus? Even last night Lufthansa had a A340 to Frankfurt....I was dropping off someone who was taking that flight. I want to see the 747 when they come in!!!

Oh well, what can you do?

AC needs some competition that flies Boeings!

I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.

I am from holland, but I think the parking area at Wendy's on airport road (hope it is the right street) is pretty good when they use the runway over there (forgot wich one it is).
I've been in Canada quite a few times and it is a nice spot.
