First Class On BA´s 747-200?

Sat Jan 26, 2002 3:19 pm

I know that BA has stored or retired their remaining 15 747-200´s. According to the seat maps on BA´s website, this type of aircraft was fitted with their extraordinary first class suite. The question here is, what they´ll do with those seats ?

The new first class suites are quite expensive, specially the super luxurious ones such as those of BA, SQ , SR and CX. SQ´s Skysuite is about USD $ 125,000 a piece, including $ 18,500 entertaining system. SR´s Suites are $ 70,000 a piece.

I´m pretty sure BA´s ones must cost about USD $80,000 to $100, 000.

Do you think they will fitt this seats to new aircraft ??
Maybe more 777-200 ???

P.D. I would like to have that suite/seat at my house.

They'll probably take the sleepers out
and keept them in spare parts storage.

I would also love to get my hands on one
and put in in the den...  Smile

I had a look on DXE shortly before it flew off to storage, the Club and First seats were being removed, the economy ones being without PTVs were being kept on.
