JMC Airlines To Operate NCL-SFB Next Summer?!?

Tue Jan 29, 2002 9:32 pm

Just looked on the Newcastle Airport charter timetable at the official website and it shows only 2 flights NCL-SFB  Sad one by BY (BY172A) and the other by JMC (JMC746K). I guess this will be an A330 flight! Anyone confirm this  Laugh out loud

I picked up a JMC Tropical brochure at the weekend and they are offering upgraded cabin and seating on ALL long distance flights from April 2002. It looks like a Business class type offer with wider seats, more legroom, seperate cabin, free drinks, seat back video etc. Will cost £129 return - not bad if you're in the seat for 10+ hours.

Kaddyuk:
That's interesting about the JMC A332 order- can I ask where you heard that? 7 A330s seems a large order for a UK charter.

LBA:
It's called JMC+ and the description sounds very nice! I read that the seats would be leather- anyone know if this is true? The website says they'll be 45 JMC+ seats.
Taken from jmc.com:
New Flight Upgrades for JMC Long Haul Flights Available from March 2002 from £99 return per person.

In March 2002 JMC will be launching its new upgrade cabin service known as jmc+. This cabin will be available on flights to Florida, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Cancun and the Bahamas. The new jmc+ cabin will be featured on two brand new Airbus A330 aircraft which are to be introduced to the JMC Airlines fleet by March 2002.

The new jmc+ cabin will provide excellent quality and on-board comfort and will include the following extra features to make your journey with JMC even more comfortable.

Located in a separate and quieter cabin, jmc+ seats will be wider and bigger than those in the standard cabin, with head-rests, foot rests and superior cushioning. Passengers will also benefit from an additional 4 inches of legroom. In the separate jmc+ cabin, the crew to passengers ratio will be higher than in the standard cabin to guarantee that our jmc+ passengers will receive that extra special service with a personal touch.

As additional features on board the aircraft, jmc+ passengers receive free drinks during meals and entertainment is provided throughout the flight by means of a personal seat back screen.

Even before they board the aircraft, jmc+ passengers will receive additional services at Gatwick and Manchester airports, which include a dedicated check-in area to beat the queues. Also, jmc+ passengers will board the aircraft as a priority. As a jmc+ passengers, you are also afforded an additional luggage allowance of 10kgs.

The new JMC upgraded cabin also represents fantastic value for money. Supplements for the upgrade cabin for Florida begin at £99 and for flights into the Caribbean and Mexico the jmc+ supplement starts from £129 return. Please note that for flights from Manchester, normal flight supplements also apply in addition to the jmc+ supplement.

hehe THANK YOU!

I'd like to know more about the rumour that Kaddyuk mentioned about JMC possibly operating 7 A332s in total. Has anyone else heard this? Is it very likey that they'll expand their longhaul network enough to need that many A330s?

I just think it's an interesting rumour considering people were only recently saying that JMC wanted to get rid of their A332!

I've never seen anything bigger than a 757 at NCL. Big grin

Where is SFB, and will this be operated by a larger JMC plane than the 757?
