Who Flies To Quito?

Fri Feb 01, 2002 7:20 am

Hey there,
I was just wondering who flies to Quito airport in Ecuador from Europe, and what airplane type do they use?

Thanks in advance for any replies

Cheers,

Jeff.

I know KLM flies to Quito with MD-11 aircraft. I believe KLM flies daily to Quito with a stop on one of the Dutch Antilles.

Iberia flies there too, daily and non stop, but I am not sure about that one.

Jeff,

The only one I think operates non-stop would be Iberia with A340 from Madrid (MAD). KLM has a flight from Amsterdam (AMS) but it doesn't operate non-stop. The KLM MD-11 does...AMS-CUR-GYE-UIO.

CUR=CURACAO, NETHERLANDS AN
GYE=GUAYAQUIL, ECUADOR
UIO=QUTIO

Yes, only non-stop with the Iberia A340!

Hi:

From Europe to Quito flies only KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Iberia. KLM uses a MD-11 with one stop in Curacao. Iberia operates a Airbus A340-300, non stop.
But some airline flies to Quito via others cities like:

Avianca, vía Bogota with a 767-200ER and MD-83.
American, vía Miami with a 767-300ER and 757-200.
Air Europa/ Aeropostal, via Caracas, with a 767-300 and 727-200Adv.
Avensa, via Caracas with a DC-10-30 and 737-200.

And soon, Aero Continente, vía Lima, with a 767-200ER and 737-200Adv.

Best Regards,
RJ_Delta.
