It will be years and years before this system is in place. Along the way, laws have to be changed, lawsuits will be filed citing invasion of privacy etc. The ACLU will almost certainly get involved. Its a good idea but it will have to be toned down some to satisfy everyone. I know that already in some protoypes there is a problem. For instance somone has traveled over 500,000 miles on business onvarious airlines in the frequent flyer program. Most all of it between cetain cities. For what ever business reason, the cities change. According to this proposal, he than becomes a high risk because something is out of the ordinary. I dont think so. Also someone can 500,000 or so miles in a frequent flyer program on business. he can get laid off, possibly run into financial problems. There could be a family emergency or a job interview that would take him on a trip out of the ordinary. So with the financial problems and the trip "out of the ordinary" he allegedly becomes high risk, at least under these proposals.
I know of a brother and step brother, both with different last names. They share an apartment. Recently they had to fly home for a family funeral. Under this proposal, they would be high risk. So you see, while the intention of this program is wonderful, there is a lot of work that has to be done first. I mean a lot of work. To say nothing about minimizing the possible erros in the data that will be collected.
