Because Flint isnt controlled by Delta allowing us to get more flights.

Good news! Still could use relief on B6 to Detroit.

DL has 6 daily flights to DTW
F9 has 4 weekly flights to DTW
NK has 2 daily flights to DTW

WN has 1 weekly seasonal flight to FNT

So at most you will see added is a daily WN flight to DTW or F9 go to daily. So to the point of seeing F9 or NK going to FNT from MCO, it will not happen.

Could you see B6 tapping into the DTW market? Smaller markets like MSP have more airlines and sometimes more flights at MCO than DTW does. I believe in it, I have been for 6 years ever since my first flight on JetBlue to NY. I knew B6 would add DTW but I thought they'd add MCO before FLL.

What are the chances of MCO landing an east Asian carrier? Could JL or ANA make an MCO-NRT service work? What about KE or CA?

MCO has the Asia market with the obvious connection in Detroit, but airlines will have to figure that out. The Delta Detroit flight that leaves at 8 is full of Chinese and Japanese tourist, and actually uses the same flight number for MCO-DTW-NRT-MNL. I could see it in the future, but I can't see who yet.

I see WN going in way before B6.

As of now slim to none. MIA will get service with an east Asian carrier before MCO.

Personally I would like to see AMS, CDG, and/or FCO service from MCO. I really think the first two could be sustainable by either DL, KL, AF. Not sure about FCO.

DTW is a major Spirit hub, there's no way they'll add an airport that's THAT close to their major hub unless you made a connection here in MCO.

Spirit has a pair for making this move. I think B6 is going to retaliate by attacking an NK hub, which will likely be Detroit, I wouldn't be surprised if a nonstop MCO-DTW on B6 pops up here pretty soon.

It is a smart move by NK but I don't see B6 starting DTW flights. There are a few here that are so caught up on B6 starting DTW. I have said it before and will say it again, if another airline starts MCO-DTW daily it will more than likely be WN. F9 just went daily on their MCO-DTW route and B6 seems more focused on their Northeast routes.

The good thing about MCO is you can get almost anywhere in the US nonstop. Airlines aren't done growing here, F9 has built a hub here, DL is expanding their focus city, and with Fornaro in charge at NK, there's a lot more to come. DL has the potential to run a TATL flight to either CDG or AMS, it would make connections easier across the pond not only for the folks in FL but in Europe as well. What's next for MCO?

It looks like next April DL will begin Saturday only mainline operations to MCI and BDL. DL added a second daily CUN, a fifth daily MSP. Of course this is all subject to change.

Look for more flying from DY, possible service will be CDG once weekly and if they start flying TATL from BCN then look for MCO to be added there as well. NK and F9 will continue to grow their operations.

On MCO's website (www.orlandoairports.net) it says under new service that Southwest will fly 1x weekly to Detroit with no note saying it's a seasonal flight. Maybe Southwest will do Detroit on Saturday's for a whole year? Or they're waiting for the next schedule extension to see whether it's seasonal or not?

So far WN has included Detroit in their schedule extension on Saturday's through April as well. This service may end up going year round.

Southwest has shown us that obviously there is growth potential for them on this route, it is quite possible that it may end up going daily or, of course, remaining once weekly all year round. It is very good news for passengers in Detroit and Orlando alike.

I took a picture of this VIP upon landing at MCO this morning. Which royal family does it belong to? Does it say "Kingdom" on the tail? If so, then I assume Saudi Arabia?

That belongs to His Royal Highness Prince Al Waleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, a member of the Saudi Arabian royal family and chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC). Thus the paint job on the tail.

People were saying the same thing about EK, and then they caught everyone off guard. Emirates admittedly has an ability to either spark a flurry of new service at an airport, or predict it before its coming. I will go on the record as saying that JL is going to start MCO as a pre-emptive strike, if the ANA-MIA rumor is true, similar to how EK started MCO after QR took MIA. But I think that the long awaited CDG/AMS flight from Delta will come first. I don't want CVG to lose CDG, but I'll bet that if they do, that slot is definitely going to MCO.

This is one route I am fairly certain that MIA will get well before MCO. I can't see there being a chance of high profits to MCO given how tourist driven the route would be.

This remains the more likely next options of international cities to be served from MCO. Either or both would be nice additions.
