Nice! I'd actually started a thread last year or so asking why no one flew the route. Probably a lot of package tour-type and honeymoon traffic etc. to fill up the plane.

You don't mention the effective date. When does the VCE service start?

I wonder if adding the VCE stop indicates that the existing PEK-PRG-PEK service is not doing well? If loads were strong on that route they wouldn't have to combine the route with VCE which also adds a lot of costs. It also makes the current PEK-PRG-PEK service much less attractive with the extra stop at VCE which increases travel time by at least 3 hours PRG-PEK compared to the current nonstop. The PEK-VCE schedule also looks uncompetitive with a stop of almost 4.5 hours at PRG. There must be many other connecting routings that are faster where the connecting time may only be one hour or so. Those scheduling issues are often a problem with those types of triangular routings.

And the 35 minute block time PRG-VCE (0935-1010) is too short for a 286nm sector.

Also, PRG-PEK is currently 3 weekly, flying Mon/Wed/Fri, so, with the launch of the VCE triangle routing, does this mean the wed flight could also be dropped, as would seem odd to have 1 direct flight using same flight number while the other 2 flights go via VCE?
