American Trans Air

Are there 9 or 10 majors in the US.

I know that AA, UA, US, NW, WN, CO, AL, DL, HP are majors, but is ATA still considered a major.

Thanks

ATA is considered a major airline since it earns revenues upwards of $1 billion annually.

Yes and no. ATA is a charter airline but it has scheduled passenger service. They are a major airline!

The 727s should be gone in the next couple of months.
