I know several folks that would love to see NK fly DTW-BNA, which I think would work out pretty well.

Flown that route many times on DL and WN, and they're never empty. It wouldn't surprise me if Spirit came to Nashville.

Can we expect BA to launch BNA-LHR next year, or could DE announce a BNA-FRA seasonal service? I know it's only a matter of time before BNA gets it's first TATL link.

BNA is probably up next for some type of Europe service.

The Southeast BADLY needs a low cost service to Europe. I would take Condor, Icelandair, or Norwegian in Nashville or Atlanta. I would love to visit my relatives in Germany, but it is just too expensive to fly anyone currently in Atlanta when compared to fares available from the above carriers at other airports.

Oops. I forgot AA used to fly BNA-LGW when they had a hub at BNA. Thanks for the correction.

Wasn't this new terminal A planned to attract more international flights? So they could easily handle TATL flights from Europe. So we may actually see London flight maybe in 2018.

I find it kind of odd that they wasted time and money replacing the jetway at A5 if they are just going to start working on the A concourse

The old jetbridge was ancient and needed replaced. Besides, once they renovate A it's a pretty easy task to unhook the jetbridge, move it to its new position, and hook it back up. Not like they need to truck it away or anything.

There's going to be a few 757 runs between DTW and BNA coming up in January, I wouldn't be surprised if next summer they'd (DL) utilize a 757 or even an A321 on this route.

Apparently they are breaking ground on the new parking garage around the first of the year, as the portion of long-term in its footprint closes on December 26. It's sorely needed.

I've been curious about service from BNA to Mexico. AFAIK, AA and DL have operated off and on Saturday only flights to CUN, I beleive in agreement with a tour company. Can Nashville support a flight to say GDL, MEX, or even MTY? Volaris has been making moves to some similar sized markets (MKE comes to mind as a recent announcement). I'm aware the rural counties around Nashville have a sizeable Hispanic population working in agriculture. Thoughts?

I tend to think that the VFR markets are still too small from BNA unless there is a significant concentration of migrants from one part of Mexico. Jalisco (GDL) is quite overrepresented in the upper midwest, which explains MKE-GDL. The business connection to Mexico that springs to mind is Nissan, and most of that traffic is to MEX (Nissan Latin America, Nissan Mexicana, Cuernavaca plant) and AGU (plants).

United connects a lot of people through IAH to all three of those and a few other points. I could see MEX working as a nonstop with connections to other areas in Mexico. The other two might be harder to fill without good feed from one end or the other.

Probably not going to happen until the FIS capability at BNA is expanded though.

I've wondered that too. Nashville saw a boom in Hispanic immigrants in the 90's when the auto industry was booming, and I've always thought BNA getting AeroMexico or Volaris would be feasible.

WN just announced nonstop to MSP. Also I noticed yesterday they're prepping long term A for construction on the new parking garage. Anything been going on inside the terminal with A or D?

Looks like we got an air service announcement on Monday. I have a good feeling it's international. If that's the case, I got either Condor or some Mexican carrier.

We'll be making an air service announcement Monday at 10 a.m. to a destination BNA has NEVER had before. Could be international or domestic..... Got any guesses?

Has BNA had service to PDX? I'd think that's pretty likely on AS as some point soon.

Condor is unlikely as they usually do summer service - it'd be too early to announce for 2018. What about MEX? Has that been served before?

I'm surprised G4 isn't at BNA yet. They'd certainly be able to add some never-served destinations. Probably not Monday's announcement though.

Do you happen to have the PDEW for DTW-BNA?

There was an article in the NBJ this week saying BNA was quickly trying to throw together an improved albeit temporary international gate, so maybe this will FINALLY be the time something juicy is announced?

They just moved frontier and air Canada over to the B concours. At the ground breaking of the new parking garage they mentioned something about doing a temporary remodel of the international arrival area in order to land an international carrier, I don't think they would invest that much time and money for a flight to Mexico. I'm thinking London 3 or 4 times a week

369 PDEW in Q216. The average one-way fare was $214, so the yields are pretty good.

From a PDEW perspective there seems to be ample room for either F9 or NK in the market. The hold up may be that they are afraid of WN or DL price matching their fares.

The "destination BNA has NEVER had before" in the announcement would seem to rule that out... unless they're counting the various London airports as separate destinations.

AS to PDX seems like the most reasonable guess.

My overly-optimistic guess/dream would be WW to KEF.

The most recent MNAA News letter announced the first part of BNA Vision was getting underway soon. It's the new parking and transportation center. No mention of anything else. I rarely go down the A concourse but have seen several comments that the FIS facility is not up to par for regular international service. If they are hoping for an announcement for late this year or early next, it seems they'd want to start on that. If it's happening, it's not being made public.

Emirates 77W to DXB. :bouncy: They seem bent on flying everywhere, but they might go to Paducah first.

Maybe PDX on AS.

E175 route perhaps.

E175 Range: 2,150 miles nm

PDX-BNA is 1,712nm

I would agree that PDX on Alaskan seems to be the most reasonable. However I think a 737-700 would work daily. Also just kind of an outside the box thought is YVR. Maybe an Air Canada A319 or a Westjet 737. Just spitballing though.

G4 to PIE or PGD would certainly be a market never served from BNA before but somehow I think it's an existing carrier and not a new carrier.

I'm having trouble coming up with anything other than AS to PDX that is an existing carrier and matches the "teaser." I think any likely Caribbean destination has been served.

Unless it's Delta to CDG . . .

The first thing I thought when I read the facebook post yesterday was WW to KEF. I really think the airport would be splitting hairs to call LHR a completely new destination. I also think it would be quite a publicity flub to say it could be international or domestic and then it is domestic given how much the region is longing for a European flight. CDG on DL is definitely a good thought. Do their international 757s have the range to do that flight?
