N798SW Former Aloha?

Fri Feb 08, 2002 9:48 am

I hear thru the grapevine at work that our 798 is an ex-aloha airlines plane. Today, it came in, so I went up inside and sure enough, there were 3 compartments on the ceiling for life-rafts, but none were in there...can anybody confirm this former plane?

Well, the grapevine was wrong... N798SW is the former N700EW of Eastwinds Airlines:

That is correct. The 'AD' in the model 737-7AD is the code for Eastwind Airlines. Here are links to the registration and Boeing customer codes.

Our fleet status chart agrees.

The aircraft is ex-Eastwind.
